the period from 1793 to 1794 was called reign of terror because after the france became republic and king louis XVI beheaded .Robespierre followed a severe control and punishment . The one who says against him was guillotined .
this created a terror of the robespierre in french people . he placed limit on prices and wadges and made everyone to eat the equality bread even people couldnt call anyone madame and moseuiur or madam and sir  
instead they have to say citoyenne or citizenchurches were converted into barracks or offices . due to his strictness his spporters also began todemand moderation and finally he was convicted on july 1794 , arrested and on the next day send to guillotine
