Hey here is your answer
_______________________

Number of electrons = 2n^2
here, n = no. of shells

The first Shell K = 2n^2 = 2(1)^2 = 2×1 = 2
therefore first shell contains 2 number of electrons

The second Shell L = 2n^2 = 2(2)^2 = 2×4 = 8
therefore second shell contains 8 number of electrons

The third Shell M = 2n^2 = 2(3)^2 = 2×9 = 18
therefore third shell contains 18 number of electrons
