The permiter of a parallelogram is 60 cm and the ratio of its adjacent sides is 3:2. If the altitude corresponding to larger side of the parallelogram is 5cm. Find the area of the parallelogram and the altitude corresponding to the smaller side.

Answer:

supp parallelogram is ABCD

AND CP IS PUP. TO AD WHICH IS 3x is the height of big side

and

so is pup to cd which is 2x is the height o smaller side

w.k.t,

ad=3x,cd =2x, cp=5

perimeter=2(ad+ cd)=60

2(5x)=60

X=6

ad=18,cd=12

area=base X height

ao X cd=cp x ad

ao=5*18/12

ao=7.5

area= 90,ao=7.5
