Given →

3x + 4y = 0

  • d = 2

Comparing the equation by ax + by + c = 0

a = 3 , b = 4, c = m , x1 = 0 , y1 = 0

we know that

d =  \frac{a \times x1 + b \times y1 + c}{ \sqrt{ {a}^{2} +  {b}^{2}  } }

2 =  \frac{3 \times 0 + 4 \times 0 + m}{ \sqrt{ {3}^{2}  +  {4}^{2} } }

2 =  \frac{m}{ \sqrt{9 + 16} }

2 =  \frac{m}{ \sqrt{25} }  \\ 2 =  \frac{m}{5}

</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>b</strong><strong>o</strong><strong>x</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>d</strong><strong>{</strong><strong>m</strong><strong> = </strong><strong>±</strong><strong>10</strong><strong>}</strong><strong>
