as they told its 1% ionized, the value of
HA----------->H+ +A-
c 0 0
c-c(alpha (calpha) (calpha)
therefore the concentration of H+ is c(alpha)= 10^-4×0.01
= 10^-4×10^-2
= 10^-6
there fore ph=-log(H+)
=-log(10^-6)
=6
