Follicular Phase

After the menstrual phase is over on the 5th day of menstrual cycle ,follicular phase starts. During this phase is the ovary begins to form a new egg that matures inside the follicle to form the Graffian follicle.
The graffian follicle releasing hormone called for stretching that prepares the uterus to receive ovum .
The uterine walls becomes thickened and develops a dense network of blood vessels.

The follicular phase starts from the end of menstrual phase to the onset of ovulatory phase, for a period of about 7 to 8 days.
