The photorespiration carbon oxidation cycle involves the interaction of chloroplast, mitochondria & peroxisomes. The substrate for photorespiration is glycolate formed in chloroplasts. It changes enzymatically into glyoxylate inside peroxisomes where it is further converted into glycine. The glycine changes to serine inside the mitochondria.
