Question:-

  • Factorise the polynomials.

Solution:-

 \sf 2 {x}^{2} - 7x + 6

 \sf = 2 {x}^{2} - 4x - 3x + 6

 \sf = 2x(x - 2) - 3(x - 2)

 \sf = (2x - 3)(x - 2)

Hence, factorised form is (2x-3)(x-2)

 \sf {x}^{3} - 25x

 \sf = x( {x}^{2} - 25)

 \sf = x( {x}^{2} - {5}^{2} )

 \sf = x(x + 5)(x - 5)

Hence,the factorised form is x(x+5)(x-5)

 \sf {a}^{2} + 10a + 24

 \sf = {a}^{2} + 4a + 6a + 24

 \sf = a(a + 4) + 6(a + 4)

 \sf = (a + 4)(a + 6)

Hence, the factorised form is (a+4)(a+6)
