So , the connection between the diffident organisms present on the earth in order to maintain their population and existence is known as a food chain .
So here , corn is rated by grasshopper then grasshoppers are eaten by lizards and then they are eaten by snakes .
If one of the animals in the chain is also not preset , the ecosystem will be disturbed .
For example , if the number of snakes increase , they will eat more lizards and therefore , the number of lizards will be less . This will increase the number of grasshoppers because of which the crops will seriously be affected .
