a) Plasmodium reproduces by the asexual process known as multiple fission.

In multiple fission, the organism splits or divides to form many new organisms at the same time. This happens when favourable cilmatic conditions arrive that the protective wall or cyst gets broken and organism reproduces.

b) The production of new organisms from single parent with the involvement of gametes is called asexual reproduction.
