1) The people of Hamelin were angry on the Mayor because the mayor had refused to pay the promised money to the Pied Piper because of which the Pied Piper had taken away all the children from the town by playing his flute to an unknown place about which they did not know.

All the rats followed him as wherever he went and he guided all the rats to the Wesser River where all of them drowned.
