i)The is a lot of resistance when the two pistons are pushed inwards.
ii)In the case that the syringes are air tight, water splashes off the syringe.

It is easier to push the piston filled with air than the piston filled with water because air has freely packed molecules whereas water has loosely packed molecules. That means molecules in air are father from each other when compared to the molecules in water.
