the pitch of a screw is 1mm and there are 100 divisions on its circular scale when nothing is kept in between the studs and the Two studs are in contact as well the zero of the circular line lies 6 divisions above the reference line. Find the zero error​

Given,

Pitch = 1 mm

No. of Divisions in circular scale = 100

Least Count = 1/100 mm

= 0.01 mm

Division that coincides with the base line when stud and spindle are in contact = (100-6) th div.

= 94th div.

Zero Error = L.C * -(100-94)

= 0.01*-6

= -0.06 mm or, -0.006 cm
