Gandhiji organised satyagraha in favour of cotton mill workers in 1918 at Ahmedabad.

In February 1918, there was a conflict between mill owners and workers of the Gujrat Mill.

Owners wanted to withdraw bonus and give 20% hike while workers demanded for 50% hike.

Workers went on strike under the leadership of Gandhiji.

It was a hunger strike.

It went successful and workers got 35% hike.
