The storming of Bastille took place in Paris, France on 14th July, 1789. A group of revolutionaries entered the Hotel des Invalides with an intention to gather weapons for an armed revolt. The prison of Bastille was occupied and the chief jailor was killed by the crowd. The crowd comprised of close to a thousand people which included local artisans, wine merchants and army deserters.
