hi....mercury is one of the planet which very close to sun.. mercury With No Atmosphere. Rather than an atmosphere, Mercury possesses a thin exosphere made up of atoms blasted off its surface by solar wind and striking micrometeoroids. Because of the planet's extreme surface temperature, the atoms quickly escape into space so by this way it happens...
The planet Mercury does not have an atmosphere as a result temperature is very very high during the day and extremely cold at night.....

The planet mercury is closest to the sun. It doesn't has any atmosphere . This intensely affects the temperature on its surface.
As no atmosphere is present, the sun rays during the day enter directly leading to a very very high temperature.
Whereas at night when sun is not present, the temperature is very very cold making it an unfavorable planet to live on. As it doesn't has an atmosphere, the sunlight cannot be entrapped and the temperature reaches minus during nights.
Thanks God that we live on Earth blessed with suitable climate for the survival.
