The plant looked just like any ordinary plant till I decided to touch leaves. It turned my hand red and my hand was burning. I couldn’t handle the pain so I decided to go to my friend Olivia’s house. She was a girl who was very interested in science so I decided to take help from her. When I reached her house I rushed to her room. Olivia asked “What happen ? Why are you rushing ?” I said “ Olivia! I need help, I touched a plant which looked ordinary but when I touched it. My hand became red and it is burning. It still is hurting.” “Ok, calm down. This plant is called Stinging Nettle. The leaves have hair-like structures that sting and also produce itching, redness and swelling”said Olivia.
“What is the cure ?” I asked she answered “ Wash the area with soap and water as soon as possible to relieve the sting and remove the nettle hairs. Then apply a moistened cloth or ice pack to the area.“ I ran to the bathroom to wash the area with soap. After washing it I took an ice pack it kept is over the area.
