The planting of leguminous crop in a field has same advantage as addin nitrogenous fertilizers in field.EXPLAIN.

legumes have root nodules which have nitrogen fixing bacteria in them .

ex : rhizobium ,azotobacter, azolla,anabena.

azolla is used in rice fields as bio fertilizer.
