The plasma membrane allows only certain substances to enter and
exit the cell. What is this special property? What reasons can you suggest for its
importance to the cell?

Plasma membrane is also known as Selectively permeable membrane because it allows only some selective substance to come inside and go outside.

1. plasma membrane protect the cell from its surroundings.

2. It composed of phospholipid bilayer which consists of proteins .

3. The plasma membrane is selectivt permeable to ions.

4. It is also allows necessary proteins in and keep pathogens out.
