  • Answer: Pollution problems can be solved only by giving encouragement and environmental awareness to the public and to factories that dump the waste into near water bodies.  So we should avoid the use of all types of plastic material so that businesses of plastic material automatically get discouraged and won't continue manufacturing plastic materials.  For example, Use of biodegradable fabric bags, metallic fountain pen, etc. Although it is very difficult to stop the use or manufacturing of plastic items but one has to take a huge step against the use of plastic in our daily life otherwise there will be chaos for the existence of our future generations.
  • We cannot put a burden on the government every time as they have to provide other facilities to poor people. It is we who have to take responsibility. We shouldn't be depending on the government every time, it is we people who have to take responsibility just the way we take care of health. Anyways if we have a good environment, good health. This should start from our societies and local authorities taking care of this. Then all generations can live peacefully.

The plastic wrappers that we throw away are often dumped into nearby rivers or water bodies that causes water pollution which is really harmful for the environment.

This problem can be solved by awareness and by not through anything on the road sides or near rivers.

3 steps taken by government to stop the menace are :-

Government notifies the Plastic Waste Management Amendment Rules, 2021, prohibiting identified single use plastic items by 2022.

Thickness of plastic carry bags increased from 50 to 75 microns from 30th September, 2021 and to 120 microns with effect from the 31st December, 2022.

Guidelines for Extended Producer Responsibility given legal force.
