The plea to forgive Publius Cimber was merely an excuse for the conspirators to kill Caesar. Elaborate.

This statement is completely justified because as soon as metalis cimber begged Caesar to forgive publius the conspirators along with Brutus attacked Caesar at right call and Caesar was killed.
This proves that the plea was just an excuse to kill caesar
