Solution:

plinth area of an apartment  = 500 sq m

Height = 16.25 m

Volume = 500 * 16.25  = 8125 m³

Rate of construction = Rs. 1230/- per m³

Cost of construction = 8125 x 1230  

=  99,93,750   Rs  

Water supply, Sanitary and Electrical installations  each at 6% of building cost

= (6/100)99,93,750

= 5,99,625  Rs

Architectural appearance @ 1% of building cost = 99,937.5   Rs

Unforeseen item @ 2% of building cost = 1,99,875 Rs

P&S and contingencies @ 4 %  of building cost​ = 3,99,750 Rs

approximate total cost of building = 99,93,750 + 5,99,625 + 99,937.5 + 1,99,875 +   3,99,750  

= 1,12,92,937.5 Rs
