The poem shows the anger and the pain that a common man was trapped in the system.
- According to the author Karl Marx "The history of all life that has existed until now is the history of class struggles."
- The conflict between the proprietor and the proletariat is normal and inevitable. The oppressor and the oppressed must still be separate from class.
- A commoner who has no say is being sandwiched among the political groups. The common man in the game of war and peace is the one who is most affected. He is the one who loses his house, his health and sometimes even lives.
- He is struggling to get justice in the process of making it for the majority of men. He gets stuck in this device, and is powerless. The only thing he can do is keep his grief in his heart and hold it in until his last breath
