1. The poet stood for long time thinking which road to choose so it is given as 'long I stood'.
2.The road appeared to be diverting in two different direction. One was most traveled than other one.
Use some of the points given in textbook as I don't remember as the poem was there for me last year

Answer:

(1) In the poem 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost, the words, 'long I stood' mean that the poet stood for a long time trying to decide which of the two roads should he take.

(2)The poet sees that the first road is not that full of grass and is slightly worn off.

Explanation:

1) Robert Frost was at a junction in the forest where two roads diverged in front of him. He stood there for a long time trying to make a decision as to which road would be better for him to walk on.

2) He tries to see where the two roads are leading to but he is not able to make out. He sees that the first road does not have as much grass as the second and is also slightly worn out. He can make out that most people used  the first road for their journey in the forest.
