Hi!

The poem ‘The Way through the Woods’ by Rudyard Kipling implies that nature can overpower man on multiple instances. Some of which are following:

  • It has been 70 years since the road was closed and nature has overcame the struggle of humans to put it to their use.
  • Rains have destroyed the road
  • Anemones and heaths now cover the pathway
  • Otters, birds and badgers now freely roam in the area because of limited human involvement.
  • The last couple of lines state that one can only imagine the horses and "the swish of a skirt in the dew."

I hope that answers your question.
