The poet has compared the lige of a human being with the flow of a river because of the following reasons:
1. Human beings are not permanent but the brook i.e. the river is forever.
2. It is also compared that there are certain problems faced by people as the brook also had to fsce many problem while reaching to its destination.
3. When the brook reached to the brimming river, its speed gets slower. This can be comared with a human, as the man gree older, the excitement finishes slowly
