Answer:

‘Sleep’ here refers to death, which overcomes everything in the material world. The poet wants to say that life is like a journey and there are lots of attractions on our way. We should overcome all these temptations and continue peacefully towards our final destination – a long eternal sleep.

Answer:

This poem is about the poet’s affection about the beautiful sea and it’s creature. The poet desperately wants to go to the lonely sea.He expresses his wish for the need of a sturdy ship to sail in the sea and a star to act as a guide in the darkness of night. At the breaking of dawn he wants to see the grey mist rise up from the sea.He also wishes that there would be strong winds making the white clouds fly.He wants to see the foamy waves and listen to the cry of sea-gulls.The last paragraph throws light on the fact that the poet would want to be like a wandering nomad. He would love to listen to entertaining tales from his fellow sailor and after the long journey he would like to have a good sleep and a sweet dream.
