The poet has paid a tribute to her mother. Similar instances can be seen 'The portrait of lady'. This made you think that writing about aloved one is much better than building their statues or drawing their portrait. Comment

Poetry and art are immortal; they continue to live from one generation to another in the form of books and memories scattered in different parts of the world. So if we really wish our beloved ones to be remembered for ages, it is far better to immortalize our love for them by either writing a poem, story or book on them. Even if we get some statue erected for them, it will be broken by the ravages of time. However, the poem, story, or book will continue to exist; so will be their memory.

Shakespeare immortalized his friend; Khushwant Singh immortalized his grandmother, and so did all the poets and writers by preserving the memories of their beloved ones in a piece of art.
