The poet tries to tell us this because..he,confused of his education,which says the snake should be killed and he threw the log..and the snake went back..the poet was dissapointed by his action..and felt guilty..he thought that..the snake was'nt harming him at all...the snake was thirsty and was quenching his thrist..he also thought that..he is a wonderful creation by god..and he needs to see the beautiful nature rather than hiding beside his whole...
