the point (2,3) lies on the graph of the linear equation 3x-(a-1)y=2a-1 if the same point also lies on the graph of the linear equation 5x+(1-2a)y=3b.then.find the value of a and b.

point (2,3) lies on both the graphs; it means it supports both the equations.

So, place the point in both equations..

3(2)-(a-1)3=2a-1 & 5(2)+(1-2a)3=3b


By solving 1st equation
6-3a+3=2a-1
a=2.........(put this "a" in 2nd equation we get)


10+3-6a=3b
13-6*2=3b
b=1/3
