given : 2x+y=8

when x=0

  • 2 (0)+y=8
  • 0+y=8

y=8

x=0,y=8

when x=1

  • 2 (1)+y=8
  • 2+y=8
  • y=8-2=6

y=6

x=1 , y=6

when x=2

  • 2 (2)+y=8
  • 4+y= 8
  • y=8-4

y=4

x= 2 , y =4

when x=3

  • 2 (3)+y=8
  • 6+y=8
  • y=8-6

y=2

x=3, y=2

when x=4

  • 2 (4)+y=8
  • 8+y=8
  • y=8-8=0

y=0

x = 4 , y= 0

=> the x-axis intersect at (4,0)..
