the distance between the charges when the force produce becomes 1.5

Let the point charges be q₁ and q₂.

A/Q,

0.5= k q₁q₂/r₁²------- (1)

For, force= 1.5N,

1.5= k q₁q₂/r₂²----- (2)

Now, (1)÷(2),

=> 0.5/1.5 = r₂²/ r₁²

=> r₂=r₁√(0.5/1.5)

        =r₁√(1/3)

        =r₁/√3
