Answer :

(0 , 4)

Solution :

Here ,

The given linear equations are ;

x + y = 4 -------(1)

x + 2y = 8 --------(2)

Now ,

Subtracting eq-(1) from (2) , we get ;

=> (x + 2y) - (x + y) = 8 - 4

=> x + 2y - x - y = 4

=> y = 4

Now ,

Putting y = 4 in eq-(1) , we get ;

=> x + y = 4

=> x + 4 = 4

=> x = 4 - 4

=> x = 0

Hence ,

The required point is (0 , 4) .
