To verify that the point (-b, b) lies on which of the following line.

Just put that point on lines.....

Line 1 : Y = -b

But the point is (-b, b) where Y = b

So, that is INCORRECT__________XX

Line 2 : X + Y = 0

Put point (-b, b)

-b + b = 0 ; which satisfies so, Line 2 is CORRECT_________✓✓✓

Line 3 : X = b

But the point is (-b, b) where X = -b

So, that is also INCORRECT______XX

Line 4 : X - Y = 0

Put point (-b, b)

-b - (b) = -2b ≠ 0

So, that is also INCORRECT_______XX

HENCE, LINE 2 IS CORRECT.....

Hope it helps.
