BY SECTION FORMULA

X = M1X2 + M2X1 / M1+M2

P-3Q = 3×1 + 6×2 / 2+1

P-3Q = 3+12 / 3

==> P-3Q = 15/3

==> P-3Q = 5..(1)

Y = M1Y2+Y1M2 / M1+M2

Q =  2×8+1×5 / 2+1

Q = 16+5/3

Q = 21/3

Q = 7

WE KNOW PUTTING VALUE OF X IN EQ(1)

==> P-3Q = 5

==> P-21 = 5

==> P = 26

SO, POINT R = (P-3Q , Q)

==> (26-3(7) , 7)

==> (26-21 , 7)

==> (5 , 7)
