The slope - intercept form of an equation is in the form y = mx + c where m is the slope and c, the y-intercept.

Rearranging the equation so that y is the subject:

y – 3 = (x – 1)

Remove bracket:

y -3 = x - 1

Add 3 to both sides:

y = x + 2

Answer: y = x + 2
