I'll define first the point of concurrency:

A point through which more that 2 lines pass, is known as the point of concurrency.

Then i'll define median of a triangle:

A segment, joining each mid point of the side of a triangle to its opposite vertex is known as the medians of a triangle.

So, in any triangle there are 3 medians, which are necessarily concurrent. And the point of concurrency is called centroid.

And this centroid divides each median in 2 parts , in the ratio 2:1

The part which is double contains the vertex. And the other one will be containig the mid point of the side.
