Let the point is (x,y)

x =  \frac{1 \times 3 + 2 \times 6}{1 + 2}  =  \frac{3 + 12}{3}  = 5

y =  \frac{1 \times 3 + 2 \times ( - 6)}{1 + 2}  =  \frac{3 - 12}{3}  =  - 3

so required point is ( 5, -3 ). Ans.
