Solution:

Equation of line joining two points (a,b) and (c,d) is given by the formula

      \frac{y-b}{x-a}=\frac{d-b}{c-a}

Equation of line joining two points (-2, 5) and (3, -5) is given by

      \frac{y-5}{x+2}=\frac{-5-5}{3+2}\\\\\frac{y-5}{x+2}=\frac{-10}{5}\\\\y-5=-2\times (x+2)\\\\y-5 = -2 x-4\\\\2 x+y -5+4=0\\\\2 x +y -1=0\\\\y= -2 x+1

Comparing with slope intercept form of line, which is

   y= m x +c, where , m is slope of line and c is y intercept.

m=Slope = -2

c=Y intercept = 1
