Now, putting the value of m in the equation of a straight line

y=mx +c

y= -2x +c

Putting the value of any point in the equation

Let (-2,5).

5=-2*-2+c

c= 5-4= 1

Hence, y intercept is 1.

If you would have taken the value of (3,-5) same value of c which is y intercept would have come.
