A will divide BC in 2:3

We are given with 3 collinear points that are :
A(1,2) ; B ( -3,4) and C( 7,1 )
so their sequence according to their position in quadrant will
BAC.

A(x) = x1m2 + x2m1/m1 + m2.
x1 = -3 ; x2 = 7 ; x = 1.
Let m1 = k ; m2 = 1
Applying formula
1 = -3(1)+7k / k+1
k+1. = -3 + 7k
1 + 3 = 7k - k
4. = 6k
4/6. = k/1
2: 3. = k : 1
So the ratio will be 2:3
