by using PGT and then distance formula you can easily find the value of p as it is a right triangle

Krishnamuliyana: PGT??
Krishnamuliyana: CAN U GIVE ME FULL FORM OF THIS??
tanishagoyal1: pythagoras theorem
Krishnamuliyana: OK
Krishnamuliyana: THANKS!!!!!!
tanishagoyal1: Hsguare = perpendicular square + base square
tanishagoyal1: plz mark it as brainliest

Hi Krishna,

Well you can answer this in two ways.

method 1: Algebraically (lenghty method)
method 2: Geometrically (quick n easy method)

In method 2 , the trick is to observe that both B and C have same y-coordinate values and hence lies on same line.

In method 1, we will have to proceed the obvious methods of using distance formula and pythagoras theorem.

Hope it helped you.
Please let me know if any further doubt.
Cheers !!!

jish4you: which method do u want me to explain?
Krishnamuliyana: which one is the easy method
jish4you: method 2 is easy , but u have to be tricky thinking such solution geometrically
Krishnamuliyana: ok
Krishnamuliyana: can u give me answer in both the methods??
jish4you: sure lemme explain it for you...ill edit my answer ok ?
Krishnamuliyana: THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!
jish4you: haha anytime ;) Always remember MATHS is fun :)
