  • firstly put the value of x and y with point,A(a,b) in equation y=8x+3 and then, put the value of x and y with point B(b,0) in equation y=8x+3 made two equation like,
  • y=8x+3 put A(a,b)
  • b=8a+3-----------(1)
  • and then put second value in the same equation y= 8x+3 B(b,0)
  • 0=8b+3----------(2)
  • now,solve the equation (2)
  • 0=8b+3,b= -3/8
  • now put the value of b in equation (1)
  • b=8a+3
  • -3/8=8a+3
  • a=-27/64,b=-3/8
  • now the second question,
  • put the value of x (2)and y (0) in the given equation y= 8x+3
  • 0=8(2)+3
  • Answer is 19
