Gone are the days when the scheduled caste and tribe used to be the down trodden, and oppressed. When they lived in the miseries of life. The economic standards of those sections of the society has risen up considerably, and the reservation policy should be ramified on the basis of economic standards of the people, and not on the basis of caste. Hence, the standards of reservation has turned out to be a plot of protective discrimination. The secular essence of the country can only be established if we come out of the shadows of the reservation based on caste. The only difference to be made should be categorised looking at the earning capacities and the economic stature of the people.
