Nylon-6 is a synthetic polymer. It is a condensation polymer. Its IUPAC name is poly ( hexano-6-lactam ). Its formula is ( C6 H11 NO)n. The structure is similar to nylon 6,6.  It is white in color usually, but can be easily dyed in various colors and protects from heat up to 150 degree Celsius.
