Given :  polynomial 11a² - 12√2a  +  2

To find : Factorise

Solution:

Correct Questions is

11a² - 12√2a  +  2

= 11a² - 11√2a -  √2a  +  2

taking 11 common in 1st two terms

&  -√2 in  last 2 terms

=11a(a  - √2)  - √2(a  - √2)

taking (a  - √2) common

= (a  - √2)  (11a  - √2)

Hence 11a² - 12√2a  +  2  = (a  - √2)  (11a  - √2)
