the polynomial (4x-3) is a factor of the polynomial q(x)=4x^3+x^2-11x+2*r. what is the value r?

1st find zero of 4x-3 (4x=3 , x=3/4)

substitute value of x in q(x):

4(3/4)^3+(3/4)^2-11(3/4)+2*r

4(27/64)+(9/16)-33/4+2*r

27/16+9/16-33/4+2*r

(26+9-132)/16+2*r

-97/16+2*r

to make (4x-3) factor of q(x) equate -97/16+2*r to 0

2*r= 97/16

r=97/16×2

r=194/2

r=97
