Answer:

Hello!

_________

HERE YOUR ANSWER IS

____________

Let p (x) = x^3 -mx +4x+6

x+2= 0

x = -2

p (x) = x^3 - mx +4x+6

p (-2) = (-2)^3 -m (-2)+ 4 (-2) +6

14 = (-8) +2m -8 +6

14 = 2m -16+6

14 = 2m - 10

14 +10 = 2m

24 = 2m

2m = 24

m = 24/2

m = 12

The value of m =12

______________

In 3rd step you could see that I used 14 instead p (-2)

REMEMBER

we got the remainder 14 when we substitute x= -2 . So we can use it to simplify further.
