Answer=2.25%

Explanation:-

Let the population=100

First year, it's increased by 15%

100×15/100=15

100+15=115

so, population of first year is 15%

second year,it's decreased by 15%

115×15/100=17.25

115-17.25=97.75

so, population of second year is 97.75

Finding the Net decrease:-

100-97.75=2.25

Net decrease=2.25

Finding the percentage of Net decrease:-

Percentage=(net decrease/initial value)×100

percentage=(2.25/100)×100

percentage=2.25%

Hence:-

Answer=2.25%
