Firstly find difference between 25000 and 24500.
25000-24500=500
Now:- 500/25000×100
=2% Answer

Original population = 25000
Decreased population = 24500
Decrease ( d ) = 25000 - 24500
d = 500
Decrease %
= ( d × 100 ) / original price
= ( 500 × 100 ) / 25000
= 50000 / 25000
= 2%
